Masai Mara national reserve is the most famous wildlife destination in Kenya. Set some270 km Southwest of Nairobi, it is the most visited protected wilderness Park covering an area of1,812 square km. Mara means spotted, it constitutes miles upon miles of savannah grasslands, meandering rivers, swamps and towering escarpments. Abundant wildlife is to be seen here with an almost certain guarantee to spot several prides of Lions. Mara is also famous for the annual wildebeest migration involving a million wildebeest accompanied by their migration partners the zebras, gazelles and topi, this is a rare ,spectacle to witness, truly awesome and amazing.
Safari Program: Itinerary.
DAY1.07:00Hrs. Early breakfast and departure for Masai Mara game reserve, this will be an interesting drive through the Rift valley with good views of the Masai loitta plains and some occasional sightings of wildlife on the way. You will take brief stop at Narok town, a fast developing agricultural town struggling to entangle itself from Masai dominance and culture.
1.30 pm Arrive at the Masai Mara tented Camp/Lodge in time for lunch. Later check in at your rooms for a brief relaxation. This is a world famous park, and you will be looking out for the big five of Africa.
4:00pm: Depart for an afternoon game drive in this sprawling park, you will come face to face with nature, Lions, buffalo, eland, are abundant together with lots of other plains game. Later enjoy the Mara sunset in the horizons.
6.30pm: Return back to camp for dinner and overnight. Enjoy a camp fire and entertainment by the camp grounds.
DAY 2: 06.30am: Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Mara, this will enable you to capture the early morning sunrise and the morning activities of the predators. After 2 hours you will return to the camp for proper breakfast.
You can also take an optional survey of the Mara plains in a hot air balloon, which takes off at dawn, the 2 hour adventure will be complimented by a champagne breakfast set romantically in the wilderness of the Mara plains.
10:00am: Load up your van ready to leave Mara for Nairobi, on your way out, your guide can take you for an optional visit to a Masai village{manyatta}to enjoy an authentic cultural experience. Your lunch will be at Narok town your guide will get a convenient place for your lunch. After Lunch drive back to Nairobi arriving in the evening.
You are dropped off at your hotel, residence or Airport. End of the tour.
