This 7 day road safari is carefully designed to
enable you explore 4 distinct regions with varied climatic conditions and
different wildlife. The northern frontier district of Samburu is semiarid and
fiercely beautiful, it comprises three different reserves;-the Samburu, Buffalo
springs and the Shaba. In this area you will encounter large herds of elephants
and other rare wildlife only adapted to this region, the parched area is fed by
the great Ewaso Ngiro River which draws a large number of wildlife to its
banks. 
The tour also takes you through beautiful farmlands,
to the Olpejeta conservancy, a private 24,000 acre reserve set on the Equator
line and with majestic views of Mt. Kenya. It is a home to a variety of unique
wildlife, birdlife and exotic flora, there is also an accessible chimpanzee and
a white Rhino sanctuary. 
Lake Naivasha, your next stop is a beautiful place,
this fresh water Lake is part of the Great Rift Valley ecosystem. It supports
an incredible variety of birdlife, with over 350 species recorded. There is
also a lot of wildlife found along the banks of the lake; a leisurely walk
around the hotel grounds gets you closer to the animals. Also enjoy an
afternoon adventure aboard a motor boat as you explore the surroundings of this
beautiful lake with the sunset gliding on the African horizons. 
Masai mara will be the best place to end your
safari, this popular reserve have the highest concentration of wildlife and
will be the best place to spot the big cats, the park plays host to the
greatest wildlife spectacle on earth “the great migration” Enjoy the dairy
drama of survival in these vast golden
plains of the Mara.

Safari program;

DAY 1: Nairobi- Samburu National reserve.

Depart Nairobi early after breakfast for a smooth drive to Samburu. This drive takes
you through the central highlands dotted with impressive farmlands of coffee,
pineapples and tea. You will be traversing through rural villages. After a
brief Stop for coffee, you will be crossing the Equator line at 0/0 degrees, watch
as the local folks present a free gravitational experiment using a pivot
floating on water. This demonstrates the Coriolis force effect to prove the
equator. Acquire a certificate before proceeding on with your journey. As you drive
north, views of the majestic Mt. Kenya will be present on your right side, Arrive
Samburu reserve in good time for lunch. A brief relaxation follows before going
for an afternoon game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Lodge.{FB}

 DAY 2: Samburu National reserve full day.

A full day in Samburu national reserve with an early morning and afternoon game
drives. This day will enable you to track some of the animals that are only
adapted to this region including the Somali ostrich, Reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Grevy’s
zebra, the gerenuk and the vulturine guinea fowl. Variety of birdlife is also
found here. Samburu is also host to 3 of the African big cats the Lion, Leopard
and the cheetah. The rugged hills and rocky escarpments form a beautiful
backdrop in this reserve. During the midmorning, opt to visit the colourful
samburu nomadic people for a presentation of their rich culture and history.

DAY 3: Samburu National Reserve- Olpejeta Sweet Waters.

Breakfast at samburu, then load up for your departure to the olpejeta sanctuary, a
wildlife gem that sits astride the Equator line. Your drive to olpejeta
includes passing through the vast plains of Isiolo and climbing through the
Meru and timau hills dotted with large wheat and barley farms. On a clear day,
Mt. Kenya would be visible throughout your drive. Arrive at the sweet waters Serena
camp in good time for lunch. 
Your afternoon game drive will take you to the most interesting areas of this park,
including to the Chimpanzee sanctuary which is under the Jane Godwall wildlife
trust and to the tame white rhino {Morani} sanctuary where you can touch him
and pose for photographs. More exploration into this spectacular park will be
highly rewarding with sightings of Elephants, Giraffe, Zebras, Rhinos,
Buffalos, Gazelles and a possibility of coming across a pride of Lions or a
Leopard. Enjoy the game drive until sunset. Return to camp for dinner and

DAY 4: Olpejeta – Lake Naivasha.

Wake up to the beautiful sounds of nature and a stunning sunrise. Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the sweetwaters before
embarking on your journey to Lake Naivasha. Your drive passes through the rich plains of Naro Moru and the central highlands with amazing views of the Aberdare Ranges and Mt. Kenya. Ascend the great escarpment to arrive at the
floor of the Rift valley to check in at your Lake Naivasha Lodge in good time for Lunch. 
Afternoon relaxation with nice views of the hotel grounds, the lake front is a host to several wildlife including zebras, waterbuck, Giraffes, Monkeys and a variety of birds. Embark on an optional 1hour Boat excursion at late afternoon. This will enable you to explore the Lake further with closer views of Hippos and variety of birds including the African fish eagle, Cormorants, Geese and Storks. The Lake is a host to some 350 species of birds. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.{FB}

DAY 5: Lake Naivasha- Masai Mara national reserve.

After breakfast enjoy an early morning drive to the Masai Mara National reserve for a
2 day’s stay. This is the most popular and interesting destination of your
trip, the beautiful golden savannah dotted with abundant wildlife has put Masai
Mara on a global map, this is a natural wildlife arena that will enable you to
have a real contact with the big five of Africa. Your drive takes you through
the floor of the Great Rift Valley, passing through Masai land and into Narok
town, a modern business center struggling to entangle itself from Masai culture
and dominance. Arrive at your Masai Mara lodge or camp at midday to a sumptuous
lunch. Enjoy an afternoon relaxation before proceeding on an afternoon game
drive in this sprawling park. Return to the camp by sunset for dinner and

DAY 6: Masai Mara National reserve full day.

You have a full day in Masai Mara opting for early morning and afternoon game drives
or an entire day exploring the Mara reserve. This day will allow you to
penetrate the reserve further going as far as the famous Mara River for hippos
and crocodiles. More rewarding wildlife sighting opportunities will present
themselves enabling an almost 100% guarantee of seeing all of the big 5 of
Africa. Enjoy a picnic Lunch by the shade of a convenient acacia tree
overlooking the Mara plains. Return back to the camp with an optional visit to
a Masai village. This will enable you to interact with these colourful nomadic
people with a rich culture and history dating back to the 16th
century. Dinner and overnight at the Mara lodge or camp.{FB}

DAY 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi /Departure.

Breakfast in Masai Mara followed by departure for
Nairobi, this is a relaxed drive as you enjoy the scenery that is now too
familiar. Take you time to shop for souvenirs and any gifts you would like to
take home. Lunch will be at Narok town. Proceed on to arrive Nairobi at Late
afternoon, you are dropped off at your hotel or residence or to the airport for
your home bound flight.
