This 5 days discovery safari will take you first to the northern frontier by road, up to the samburu game reserve, a relatively small park north of Mt. Kenya and the equator, It is a unique landscape of rounded and rugged hills and undulating plains. Set in a semiarid area Samburu, is a natural gem with river Ewaso ngiro meandering through the reserve to guarantee a constant water supply for the abundant wildlife found here. Your 2 days here will enable you come face to face with some of the rare wildlife species adapted to this area like the Oryx, grevys zebra, reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk, vulturine guinea fowl among many elephants and predators.

You will then take a scheduled flight to Masai Mara on your 3^rd day, arriving in the most popular game arena on the entire tourist circuit. After 2 days in Mara, you will be driven or fly back to Nairobi on the 5^th day arriving early in the afternoon.

Departures: Daily. Morning; am or afternoon; pm flight.

DAY 1. Nairobi-Samburu; Early morning pick up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi for a 5 hour journey towards Mt.kenya region, passing through the central highlands. Enjoy the views of rural Kenya with its fertile lands dotted with coffee, Pineapples and tea bushes. You will also cross several rivers originating from the Aberdare ranges and Mt. Kenya. You will take a stop at the equator line before proceeding on to samburu arriving in time for lunch. Check in at your camp/lodge strategically set by the banks of Ewaso river. An afternoon game drive will follow until late evening. Enjoy a magnificent sunset at the horizons on your way back to the camp.{FB}

DAY2. Samburu; You spend another full day in samburu with morning and afternoon game drives, this is an exciting moment of discovery as you come face to face with abundance of game including large herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, lion and the elusive leopard. You will also have a good chance to visit the local samburu people for an authentic cultural experience. All meals at the lodge or camp, dinner and overnight in samburu.{FB}.

DAY3. Samburu-Masai Mara; Another early morning game drive before returning to the camp/lodge for breakfast, Later prepare and get transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Masai Mara arriving around12:15hrs.

You are met by your host and transferred from the airstrip to your reserved lodge or camp with a game drive en route. After lunch proceed on an afternoon game drive in this sprawling and rewarding park, where you are guaranteed to come face to face with the big five of Africa. Enjoy the Mara sunset as you return to lodge/camp in the evening. Dinner and overnight the lodge.{FB}.

DAY 4. Masai Mara; Full day in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. This is a day which you can use to explore the park further you also have an opportunity to visit the local folks in their traditional boma- the (Manyatta) at a cost of Usd 25. There is also a good chance to experience a bird’s eye view over the Mara plains by taking an optional ride on a hot air balloon. This can be reserved in advance and at a considerable notice to the operator at a cost of USD 450 per person. Return to the Lodge/camp for dinner and overnight. {FB}

DAY5. Masai Mara-Nairobi; Breakfast is served at the Lodge/camp then at around 09:00am, transfer to the Mara airstrip for your scheduled departure flight to Wilson airport arriving around midday .Meet and transfer. A short excursion or shopping drive is provided before being dropped to your hotel or the main Airport for an onward flight.{B}
