The Masai Mara National Reserve ( Simply referred to as The Mara) is the park where Federico Veronesi had spent the best part of his last six years, and one of the places with the highest photographic potential in Africa and the world. It is part of the Greater Serengeti Ecosystem, and hosts the famous Wildebeeste migration during the dry months of July to October. Enjoy unlimited wildlife encounters in this vast and marvelous theatre of the wild.
The Serengeti National Park is a world heritage site teeming with a huge population of wildlife that includes predators, ungulates and a rich birdlife diversity. It is the largest national Park in Tanzanian covering an area close to 15,000 square kilometers. The Serengeti ecosystem is vast and diverse consisting savannah grasslands, rocky outcrops, riverine forests and small mountain ranges. It is famous for its annual migration of over 1.5 million white bearded wildebeests, 250,000 zebras about 300,000 gazelles, this is the ultimate place to lose yourself in the wildest dreams of an African safari.
Ngorongoro was named by the Maasai as El-Nkoronkoro meaning Gift of Life. This was because they found a pleasant habitation here while migrating from Central Africa for permanent settlement. Based on fossil evidence found at the Olduvai Gorge, various hominid species have occupied this area for over 3 million years. Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera with an impressive natural splendor; dense population of various animal species can be found in this area easily making it one of the world’s best places for biggame viewing.
Lake Manyara National Park is known for the flamingos that inhabit the lake. It has more than 400 species of birds. Leopards, Lions, cheetahs, elephants, blue monkeys, dik-dik, gazelles, hippopotamus, Masai giraffe, impala, zebras and many more. Most wild animals that inhabit this park and can be observed throughout the year. There is a hippo pond at one end of the park where visitors can get out of their cars and observe them from a safe distance. The leopards and lions are both known to lazily lounge in the trees while not hunting for prey.
Tarangire is the 6th largest game park in Tanzania and arguably the best place to observe elephants in Africa, home to more than 30 species of animals including the famous big5, it is also a haven for birding enthusiasts for it’s 550 species recorded.Tarangire River is the lifeline of the wildlife here as the only source of water during the dry season hence animals converge here creating a perfect opportunity for game viewing. The ecosystem is astounding and diverse with the landscape filled with scenic giant baobab trees.
Amboseli is beautiful and considered as one of Kenya’s best biosphere reserves, crowned by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro {Africa’s highest Peak}, Amboseli is a very popular destination and one of the best places to observe huge tusked elephants often moving in elaborate parade caravans tothe numerous swamps and wetlands to forage and bathe. Explore the different habitats of this park, enjoying exceptional game viewing and bird watching experiences.

Day 1:
Nairobi- Masai Mara.
Our guide will pick you from your hotel or airport for a 5 hour journey to the Mara game reserve. This is an exciting drive through stunning countryside of farms and rural villages; we make our first stop at the great escarpment, a major natural topographical feature of steep slopes formed through active movement of tectonic plates dating millions of years. After the scenic view and refreshments, we drive to the floor of the Rift valley and off to Narok town the main economic center in Masailand. We then proceed through the Loitta plains to arrive at our Masai Mara lodge or camp in good time for Lunch.
We start our first game drive at 4pm in this extensive nature reserve looking out for the big predators and numerous plains game found here in abundance. We return to our camp by sunset for dinner and overnight.
Day 2:
Masai Mara
Full day game viewing in this vast reserve.we leave our camp shortly after breakfast with picnic lunch.The Mara is the land of African legends: Lions are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebras. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly the rhino. Enjoy unhurried game viewing in this natural arena searching for the Big 5and many other animal species. In case your safari falls from July to October, you will have the privilege to witness the 7th wonder of the world, the annual wildebeest migration, especially the thrilling event of Mara river crossing where revenous crocodiles await them in great anticipation. Afterwards, enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of a convenient accacia tree overlooking the glorious endless plains of the Mara. Your game drive continues until lateafternoon when you head back to the lodge in good time to refresh and later attend to your well prepared dinner. Later enjoy a campfire and an overnight at the lodge.
Note; – This day presents an option to explore the Mara in an early morning hot air balloon safari followed by a champagne breakfast in the wilderness at an extra cost.v
Day 3:
Mara – Isebania- Serengeti.
After breakfast, you will depart with packed lunch to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. After visa formalities at the Isebania border, you shall meet our Tanzania guide and proceed on to the Serengeti. Your lunch will be served at a convenient location along the route.Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest and most famous national park; also an acclaimed world heritage site and recently declared a 7th wonder of the world, the Serengeti is famed for its annual wildebeest migration, where some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for an epic journey of finding fresh grazing sites, pass through the wildlife rich seronera area before arrivingatyour reserved Tanzania Bush Campin the late afternoon. Freshen up and enjoy a sumptuous dinner and a peaceful night at the camp.
Day 4:
Serengeti National Park Full Day Exploration
Wake up to the sounds of nature and witness a beautiful sunrise from the African skies. After enjoyingbreakfast at the camp, depart with packed lunchfor a whole day game drive. We are in what is arguably the world’s most acclaimed wildlife sanctuary, a richly endowed arena with its huge concentrations of plains game, numerous predators and prolific birdlife all resident on the seemingly endless savannah grassland and acacia dotted landscape that epitomize Africa’s game parks. We will traverse the Park west to east unndertaking extensive and unhurriedtaking a break under a convenient acacia tree shade to enjoy a picnic lunch in a timeless atmosphere. We then return for dinner and overnight at the marvelous Tanzania Bush Camp or similar in Serengeti.
Day 5:
Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Morning breakfast followed by a drive to the Ngorongoro Conservancyarea , we take a scheduled stopover at Olduvai Gorge, often referred to as the “ cradle of mankind” an important paleoanthropological site with a rich history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that archaeologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of the ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution theory. An incredible collection of fossilized human bones, skulls and prehistoric tools are on display. Later proceed for lunch and check in at the Rhino lodge or similar.
Embark on an afternoon descent of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area which has so much to offer, but the jewel in its crown is, without a doubt, the eponymous crater- an area of 265 sq km, which is 610 meters deep and 19 km across. The rim of the crater is an astounding 2286 meters above sea level. The floor contains a small soda lake called Lake Magadi, and it is estimated that 30000 animals live in the crater, making it the most intensive safari game viewing area on earth. It was therefore very fittingly declared a World Heritage Site in 1978. Continue with your game drive until sunset when you are driven back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 6:
Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu.
After breakfast, you descend for the second day with picnic lunch into Ngorongoro crater. Enjoy full day game drive in the crater, the Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major attraction in this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor overlooking a scenic landscape. Dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge or of similar standard.
Day 7:
Lake Manyara - Tarangire.
Full breakfast at the lodge, then Proceed to Lake Manyara National Park with picnic lunch. Today you will enjoy a full day game drive in the park which has varied habitat attracting a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentration of elephants. Explore the lush forests of accacia woodland, grasslands, swamps and marshes for a wide range of animals that includes;-Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, zebras, jackals buffalo, giraffe, baboons, warthog, as well as large flocks of flamingos that form a brilliant pink flamboyance around the shorelines of this algae rich lake. Take a break to enjoy your Lunch under a convenient tree shade amidst countless wildlife. Afterwards transfer to the Tarangire National Park for dinner and overnight at Burunge Tented Camp or of similar standard.
Day 8:
Tarangire National Park Full Day
After a sumptuous breakfast, we head off to the Tarangire National Park; Tanzania’s sixth largest park known for its giant majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape hence dwarfing the wildlife that forage beneath them. Tarangire River is the lifeline of this park where great herds of elephant population and other mammalian species concentrate especially during the dry season. Here there’s high possibility to see Lions, Leopard, Cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, Giraffe and Zebras. For the avid bird watcher, this is a pristine paradise for its 500 species recorded.
You will head back to the camp for a hot lunch and relaxation before embarking on another game drive in the afternoon until sunset.
Your accommodation and meals depending with availability can be within or just outside Tarangire national park at Karatu.

Day 9:
Tarangire – Namanga Boarder - Amboseli
Depart Tarangire shortly after breakfast with picnic Lunch boxes. Your journey will take you through Arusha heading to the Kenya’s Namanga border.After visa formalities at the border point , meet our Kenyan safari guide and proceed on to the Amboseli National Park. Arrive in Amboseli around 1 pm and head straight to the observation hill; the highest point in Amboseli for your picnic lunch. The hill offers spectacular views of Mt Kilimanjaro and the vast park surroundings. After lunch, continue with your game drive in this majestic park anticipating great sightings of animals and birds.The park is famous for its abundance of free-ranging elephants; over 1600 elephants are estimated to live within the Amboseli ecosystem, you will really get close to individual elephant herds often moving en masse.
Seize great photography opportunities that unveil a unique African sunset against a magnificent backdrop of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. After the game drive, you are driven to the camp for check-in at Kibo Safari Camp. Freshen up and proceed for a warm dinner with soothing traditional music playing in the background. Later enjoy a brilliant bonfire and a peaceful overnight.
Day 10:
Amboseli National Park - Nairobi for Departure
Arise to the sounds of Nature and a beautiful sunrise, it’s yet another beautiful day in the wilderness, observe majestic and clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro as you enjoy breakfast. We then load up for our departure to Nairobi with the last 2 hours of enroute game drive through the park. Head out for the highway with some scheduled stops for refreshing, washrooms, lunch and shopping, your guide will recommend anything that you my want to do on this final day depending on your flight schedule. You are then dropped off at your at the airport for your outbound flight after 10 days of an incredible tour of Kenya and Tanzania full of fond memories
